i've been having a play around with a new web browser made by Mozilla (makers of Firefox) and made for use exclusively on macs ("mozilla power, mac style"). It's called 'Camino' and so far I'm pretty impressed. It's fast and it's got some great features (like being able to search your history etc.) You can also instruct Camino to not only block pop-ups but also screen out adverts on web pages, which it does pretty well. Fellow Mac users go here to check it out.
Secondly, most Mac users know that Steve Jobs' keynote speech from Macworld San Francisco is the one to watch so I thought I would remind us all that it's happening on Tuesday January 10th at 9am (5pm UK time). You can normally watch a webcast of it pretty soon afterwards on the Apple site. We wait with bated breath to see what he's going to announce this year.

yupyup...looking forward to seeing the first intel macs relased. Just found Camino? Shocking...it's been around a while now :-p it has a few quirks such as it doesn't appear to like my two-fingered trackpad scrolling thing on my powerbook and at one time typing in some places went at the rate of about a character a second (though think they've sorted that one) but generally I really like it.
so far i really like it apart from i'm missing some of my firefox extensions - e.g. my bloglines notifier (so am currently trialing NetNewsWire as a software replacement for bloglines) and also things like the weather forecasting icons extension i have in firefox. Camino looks great but would be even better if it had the same range of firefox add-ons/extensions. do you know if they are available anywhere?
I use NetNewsWire Lite and love it. Not sure about plugins to be honest, I think there are some available somewhere but not half as many - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Camino_:_Extensions explains why and gives a couple of links. I tend to use a mixture of browsers, recently found a couple called flock (another mozilla browser) and shiira (uses the same stuff as Safari) which are interesting but not a huge improvement.
yeah - i am loathed to pay for the full version of NetNewsWire (which i am currently trialling and enjoying) when NewNewsWire Lite would probably suffice...but i can't face importing all my feeds manually from bloglines which i would have to do if i used NNWL, whereas the full version imports all your feeds for you. so i guess i may end up coughing up.
Interesting. How many feeds do you have? If you set NetNewsWire Lite up as your default RSS reader then clickling a link to a feed will try to import it in there if that makes things any easier. Looking on the site Subscriptions import/export is available for both the full and the lite version...
Also any chance of allowing non-blogger user comments in your blog? I don't use blogger so have to use an ID I set up ages ago and can't really remember most of the time.

It used to be called chimera but they had to change it due to legal issues
